Fremont Black Rock Publishing was founded with a simple belief: readers deserve books that are both engaging and enriching. What began as a passion for literature and cultural connection developed into a publishing program designed to serve a wide range of readers. We saw an opportunity to create imaginative stories for young audiences, make important literary works more accessible through bilingual formats, and develop resources that help families and learners explore language, faith, history, and culture.
As our catalog grew, so did the need for two focused imprints. Slot Canyon Press became the home of our bilingual, educational, religious, and language-learning titles, while Compass Gate Press was established to publish adventurous middle-grade fiction.
Together, they allow Fremont Black Rock Publishing to reach readers with different interests while remaining grounded in the same belief: books have the power to open doors.
